Open Format
I play across genres — hip-hop, house, R&B, pop, funk, disco, Latin, Afrobeats, and whatever else the floor needs. No rigid sets. No dead air. Just reading the room and keeping it moving.

Where I Play
-
Weddings
I read the room, build the energy, and keep the dance floor where it should be — full.
-
Corporate
Professional, punctual, and know how to strike the right tone for your brand.
-
Charity Galas
Fundraising nights deserve a soundtrack that keeps people in the room and in good spirits.
-
Private Parties
House parties, birthdays, anniversaries — if there's a sound system, I'll make it count.
-
Clubs
Open-format club sets. I play what moves the floor, not just what's in my crate.
How I Work
I show up early, read the room before I touch the decks, and build the night from there. No preset playlists — I watch the floor, feel the energy, and call the next track in the moment. My job is to make sure you don't have to think about the music once the night starts.
What to Expect
The Evening
Every event is different, but here's how a typical night unfolds. I adjust the timing and energy to fit your crowd — this is just the framework.
-
6:00 PM
Arrival & Sound Check
I arrive early, set up, and test everything before your first guest walks in.
-
7:00 PM
Warm-Up / Background
Mellow, conversational music while people arrive, find their seats, and settle in.
-
8:30 PM
First Dancers
I shift gears, read who's ready to move, and drop the first tracks that get people up.
-
10:00 PM
Peak Time
The floor is full. I'm calling tracks in real time, riding the energy, keeping it moving.
-
11:30 PM
The Classics
The singalongs and throwbacks that keep the die-hards going and pull the stragglers back.
-
12:30 AM
Last Call
One for the road. I wind it down on a high note and pack up without a trace.
How I Build the Night
- Low Background sets the mood — soul, jazz, acoustic vibes
- Rising Funk and disco to get feet tapping and heads nodding
- Mid Hip-hop, R&B, and pop — the floor starts to fill
- High House, Afrobeats, Latin — peak energy, everyone moving
- Peak Throwbacks and classics — the whole room singing together

FAQ
-
For weddings and large corporate events, 3–6 months is ideal. For smaller private parties and club bookings, 4–8 weeks is usually enough. Last-minute enquiries are always welcome — I keep some dates open.
-
Yes. I travel with a full professional setup — decks, mixer, PA, and lighting. If your venue has an in-house system you'd prefer me to use, that's fine too. I'll always do a sound check beforehand either way.
-
Absolutely. During our pre-event consultation we'll discuss must-plays, do-not-plays, and the overall vibe you're after. On the night, guest requests are welcome too — I fit them in where they make sense.
-
Cancellations more than 30 days before the event receive a full refund of the deposit. Between 14–30 days, the deposit is retained. Less than 14 days, the full fee is due. I always try to be flexible if we can reschedule.
-
For sets under 3 hours, I play straight through. For longer events, I build in short breaks during natural lulls — dinner service, speeches, etc. The music never stops; I'll have a playlist cued for those moments.
-
I take requests and fit them in if they work with the flow of the night. If something doesn't fit the vibe or you've asked me not to play it, I'll politely redirect. My job is to keep the floor moving, not to play every request verbatim.
-
I have a trusted network of DJs I can call on in an emergency. If I can't be there, I'll arrange a replacement of equal quality and brief them thoroughly on your event. This has never happened, but I plan for everything.
-
Yes — a 50% deposit secures your date, with the balance due 7 days before the event. For corporate clients, I'm happy to work with your payment terms and invoice schedule.
